"Claire Pearson and Kyle Walmsley hilariously bring Esther and Jerry Hicks to life with heart and conviction. Claire’s adept ability to morph into the entity ‘Abraham’ with such physical intensity made it impossible not to laugh! The show’s interactive nature encouraged the audience to ‘co-create’, ‘manifest’, and, in a mantra-like style, engage in a call-and-response communication, highlighting the powerful conformity of group behaviour. The chemistry between Claire and Kyle is so palpable and convincing in their delivery that at one stage during the ‘workshop’ I found myself, along with other audience members reaching under our seats to find that elusive latest release book, which they hinted was there. They drew the audience into their world effortlessly, creating a shared experience that felt communal but also individual." - What's On Brisbane

"The show was wildly hilarious, expertly highlighting the rhetoric of the self-help world while leaving us astounded that such bizarre and meaningless words were actually spoken. The laughter rolled from start to finish and echoed throughout the theatre as we learned how to enter ‘the vortex’ and find our bliss. We appreciated the insights into the moments offstage, where we saw the growing tension and eventual deterioration of Esther and Jerry’s relationship." - A & K See a Play
"Claire Pearson and Kyle Walmsley incredibly personify Esther and Jerry Hicks and the rise of Esther’s work with Abraham.
Having been in Esther’s presence myself many years ago, I can vouch that Claire’s impersonation of Esther was impeccably presented, particularly when creating the transition she experiences while bringing through Abraham’s voice.
It’s what some people would refer to as ‘another worldly experience’ where her voice/tone changed, as did her physicality. Her demeanour changed and this brought a different kind of confidence.
Kyle’s Jerry was well aligned with Claire. Their rapport was emotionally engaging. It was obvious that both actors did their research.
Their comedic prowess and timing came through as they took risks and interpretive creative license. There were little twists and turns in their relationship and this was skilfully conveyed in their dialogue - Theatre Travels

Residential Aged Care
Immanuel Garden's Got Talent
As a Creative Engagement Partner at Lutheran Services, I support and deliver creative initiatives across six Residential Aged Care communities. This includes resident‑led events such as Immanuel Gardens’ Got Talent at our Buderim service.
My work focuses on enhancing both resident and staff experience. I provide organisational support through program planning and preparation, creative programming, budget coordination, and project assistance. I also build and nurture collaborative creative partnerships that elevate the quality of our events, enrich resident engagement, and strengthen staff capability, especailly in regards to supporting residents living with dementia.
The event's theme "School days" was chosen by our residents, which led to fantastic 1.5 hr concert filled with music, stories, poetry and lots of laughs!
A key part of my role is developing processes that enable effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring our creative projects lead to meaningful, successful outcomes for the people who call our services home.
Graceville Art Festival
Graceville Art Festival is a vibrant, community‑driven celebration of creativity, held at St Luke’s Church in Nambour and presented by the Graceville team, which supports people living with mental health challenges and disabilities. The festival showcases artwork created by people with lived experience, highlighting their talent, stories, and perspectives. In its inaugural year, the event launched the $2,000 “Earth, Sky, Sea and Me” Art Prize, alongside hands‑on workshops, market stalls, and more than 100 artworks available for purchase. The festival proudly aligned with Mental Health Week, strengthening its message of inclusion and wellbeing.
I contributed to the festival as an Event Committee Member and Creative Engagement Partner with Lutheran Services. My role spanned promotion, sponsorship development, event scheduling, Opening Night coordination, MC and compere duties, artist callouts, feature‑artist management, and partnership building to support a meaningful and successful community arts experience.
Creative Drama in Residential Aged Care
